To encourage international students to study diligently, make continuous progress, and enhance their academic and research capabilities, the School of Food and Biological Engineering has formulated the following scholarship evaluation rules based on the actual situation of international student training.
I. Scope of Application and Basic Scholarship Standards
1. International students enrolled in 2024 Autumn and 2025 Spring
The main evaluation focus for this academic year is course performance.
The Scholarship is CNY 1,000.
Note: Students who are already receiving the China Government Scholarship (CSC) or the “Study in Jiangsu Government Scholarship” (Agreement Scholarship) are not eligible for this scholarship.
2. International students enrolled before 2024 Autumn
The Scholarship is CNY 500.
Note: Students who are already receiving the China Government Scholarship (CSC) or the “Study in Jiangsu Government Scholarship” (Agreement Scholarship) are not eligible for this scholarship.
II. Additional Scholarship Awards
1. Academic Publications
Students who publish academic papers that meet the following criteria may receive additional rewards on top of the basic scholarship:
- For each SCI(E) academic paper in the first quartile journals, the scholarship should be an additional CNY 1000.
- For each SCI(E) academic paper in the second quartile journals, the scholarship should be an additional CNY 500.
- For each SCI(E) academic paper in the other quartile journals, the scholarship should be an additional CNY 200.
Note: 1) The applicant must be the first author, or the supervisor is the first author and the applicant is the second author.
2) Jiangsu University must be the first affiliation.
3) Papers must be published between September 1st 2024 to August 31st 2025.
4) Papers previously used for scholarship applications cannot be reused.
5) Only formally published papers are eligible.
2. Academic Competition Awards
International students who participated in academic competitions above the university level and received Outstanding Award will be granted an additional scholarship of CNY 500 for each item.
Note: Competitions must be recognized by the Graduate School or the Academic Affairs Office, or included in the list of competitions officially encouraged by FBE.
III. Scholarship Deductions and Restrictions
1. Language Requirement
The scholarship would be reduced by CNY 500 for the foreign students who failed HSK3 within 2 years.
2. Academic and Disciplinary Requirements
Students with any failed one course are not eligible to apply the School Basic Scholarship, but they may still apply for Additional Scholarships.
Students within extension period or suspension of schooling or going to drop out of school are not eligible to apply for any of the scholarships mentioned above.
