Title: The Effects of Dietary Polyphenols on Cancer Cells

Introduction: Dr. Francesca Giampieri is an Assistant Professor at Marche Polytechnic University, Italy. She received her Ph.D. in Food, Health and Drug from the Department of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Marche Polytechnic University, in 2013, after completing her doctoral studies in Biological Sciences. From 2019 to 2023, she was consecutively listed among the Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics for five years. Her research expertise lies in food and nutrition sciences, with a strong focus on evaluating the effects of dietary bioactive compounds on human health. She has made significant contributions to understanding the biological mechanisms associated with oxidative stress and inflammation. Dr. Giampieri has published around 240 papers in international journals, including 13 highly cited papers, with an h-index of 58 (Scopus), 51 (WoS), and 68 (Google Scholar). Currently, she serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Food Safety and Health, Associate Editor of Food Chemistry, Nutrients, Journal of Berry Research, Mediterranean Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism, Food Frontiers, and Discover Food. She is also on the editorial boards of International Journal of Molecular Sciences, Antioxidants, Molecules, and Food Chemistry: Molecular Sciences.
