Dr. Maurizio Battino

Title: Bioactive Compounds, Adipocytes, and Obesity: New Frontiers in Research

Introduction: Dr. Battino has over 30 years of research experience in bioenergetics and food science, with significant contributions to the study of natural antioxidants. He has been listed for eight consecutive years as a Highly Cited Researcher in Agricultural Sciences by Clarivate Analytics. His research focuses on the role of bioactive compounds from foods such as berries and honey in preventing and alleviating chronic diseases. He has published more than 600 papers in international journals and serves as Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor of several leading journals, including Journal of Berry Research, Food Chemistry, and Molecules.
