Title: The Key Role of Dietary Supplements in Maintaining Gastrointestinal Function

Introduction: From 1995 to 2022, Dr. Daglia worked at the University of Pavia, Italy, and later served as Dean and Head of Department at the School of Pharmacy, University of Naples Federico II. In 2023, she was selected for China’s Qiming Program for High-Level Overseas Talent. She has led three EU-funded projects and five Italian national projects, and serves as an advisor to multiple international scientific organizations, including the MESMAP-5 (5th Mediterranean Symposium on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants) and ICAR2018 (International Conference on Antimicrobial Research). Dr. Daglia has received several honors, including the 2017 Women Scientist Award from the University of Pavia and the Tanner Award from the American Society of Food Technologists. She has published 180 papers with over 5,000 citations (h-index: 36) and serves as Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor of journals such as Phytomedicine, Food Frontiers, Nutrients, and Frontiers in Pharmacology. Her research focuses on the physiological activities of natural products in foods, dietary supplements, and pharmaceuticals.
